Went here for an upper and lower scope - I traveled here because this is where my GI (who is based in Indy) was working that day. Was about a 35 minute drive for me. I was very pleased with the customer service and greeter who led us exactly to where we needed to go (as opposed to giving lengthy confusing verbal directions) The nursing staff was wonderful and attentive, clean and pleasant environment in the patient room. One nurse stood out, Tammy, inside the procedure room. She was so comforting - I really wasn't even nervous, but she offered to hold my hand during the part of the procedure where they put you under anesthesia, and I really felt that she cared about me. It's obvious nursing was her calling and passion, and what a gift it is as a patient to be cared for by such a person.
My daughter had a 6 month post-op check up from getting tubes in her ears. Her appointment was at 3 so at 3:45 I asked how much longer it would be and I was told there were still 2 people in front of me. I understand being busy, but I should have at least gotten a phone call saying they were running an hour behind.
I do not think I could recommend the DCMH/Tree City Medical Partners to anyone who was exploring a new doctor. I went to Tree City for all of my visits and then the billing comes from DCMH. I had five visits and only received two bills. I called DCMH numerous times in advance of receiving any bill to proactively pay my bill. I would question why I had not received a bill and was always assured one would be mailed to me. I continued to pay my bill before I even received a bill to make sure nothing would ever be considered late or perhaps wind up in collections. One of my visits, which was exactly the same as all of the other visits outside of the initial visit, was billed to my insurance for much more than normal. I called the DCMH billing and was told to contact the doctor at Tree City. The first attempt I was told the person was off but they would leave a message to call me. I am still waiting on that call. The second attempt to Tree City I was told, "You need to contact the hospital because I am just a switchboard operator." That certainly was not very friendly and I knew at that point I was getting a runaround. I am still in the process of getting the billing issue corrected. DCMH/Tree City employ some wonderful people but the entire "upgrade" to the computer system seems like a huge mess to the me, the consumer. I changed doctors (Major Health Partners - Shelbyville) and so far so good. I hate to not recommend a place but my experience has been a disaster.
Horrible when you tell one of the doctors that a spot is real tender most of then put pressure on that spot. Not going to say the doctors name but it is a female. And the service is slow.
Wonderful administration and leadership team at this hospital.
